Obviously the first step in getting a girl to like you is to peak her interest. There are a few basic things I have found very helpful to understand about girls. I will try to get around to linking posts to extended versions of these things but for now I will be listing the essentials.
1. Girls are naturally attracted to confidence.
*Keep in mind being arrogant or cocky is often a turn off to girls.
2. Girls often don't know what they want!
This makes it easy to manipulate how they see you. I will build upon this later but for now just realize that girls will often judge a guy based on how attractive his past and current female friends and girlfriends are. Simply put, a guy with many attractive female friends will get more interest than a guy without any attractive female friends.
3. Girls are attracted to alpha-male types.
What this means is that they favor high status men over low status men. This can be as tricky as how you position yourself in a room to as simple as being the captain of a sports team.
4. Girls read into things way too much.
At this age most people over think things, if you have limited contact with the person you like it is not necessarily a bad thing and can even be used to your advantage.
5. Girls just want to have fun.
No one is looking for their husband in high school and most are not looking in college. Keep time with this person light and fun and not heavy on what you're looking for in a relationship. Going too heavy too early can definitely ruin your chances by scaring someone off.
6. When texting her
Keep texting limited, when you text her you want to have something funny that you can throw at her. Get her laughing and keep her laughing. If the conversation even hints that it is dying STOP REPLYING. This will create anticipation while she waits for your text keeping her thoughts on you. Keep in mind that ending on a funny note will preserve her most recent thoughts of you being that you can make her laugh.
7. Posting on social media
Social media stalking is inevitable if a girl starts to become interested in you. My best advice is to keep your posts light and stay away from angry posts. You want her to feel comfortable talking to you and think that you're worth getting to know. If she sees you getting mad and ranting on twitter or facebook she is going to lose some if not all interest that she has in you.
8. Social media pictures
If you have awesome pictures of you doing something fun make sure to have these on your social media sites. If you have pictures with your dog or sibling make sure to have those up as well. You want her to be interested in the things you do. If you associate yourself with fun things or cute animals or family then this will help you out.
